I build interfaces for complicated data.
Ten years of frontend work, mostly analytics dashboards, real-time systems, and internal tools that people use all day. Currently working in energy and climate data. I write about it here, and film the parts that are easier to show than explain.
Work
Energy & Climate Analytics Platform
Frontend architecture and development of a large-scale internal analytics platform for energy and climate data. Built complex time-series visualizations, percentiles, and historical comparisons, with a strong focus on performance and maintainability. UI and code are proprietary.
Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park
Led frontend development of a custom in-house ticketing system, integrating an Angular application with Sitefinity CMS. The main challenge was syncing real-time seat availability across multiple performance calendars while keeping the editorial experience simple for the marketing team. Chose Sitefinity for its .NET ecosystem fit and flexible content modeling for seasons, shows, and events.
Retail POS System
Internal point-of-sale system used by retail clients to manage sales, inventory, and daily operations. Worked on frontend workflows for sales, refunds, and reporting, focusing on reliability and speed in high-throughput environments. Built custom separate modules for restaurants, museums and self-checkout. Integrated closely with backend business logic and external hardware.
15th International Conference on Greek Linguistics
Academic conference site serving researchers in English and Greek. Gatsby was chosen for its static output since conference sites need to stay up reliably with minimal maintenance. The main complexity was modeling the program schedule with sessions, speakers, and abstracts that needed to exist in both languages. Budget constraints ruled out a traditional CMS.
